Croatian Sensations

The southern European country of Croatia has become one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Mediterranean, and it is not hard to see why. This is a country rich with natural beauty, with some of the most idyllic beaches and well-kept marine areas in Europe, as well as no less than eight national parks. With its southern coast running along the Adriatic Sea, there are some delightful coastal towns and cities to visit.

Split, for example, is a true gem. Its Diocletian's Palace is beautifully preserved with its sculptures, cellars and cathedral. The city is also a centre of world-class gastronomy. Its restaurants’ menus are dictated by the day’s catches, with the freshest and most delicious fish imaginable. The beautiful islands of Brač and Hvar can also be reached from Split - perfect for a day out.

Another must-visit is Dubrovnik, the entire Old City of which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The 45-day-long summer festival is great to be a part of, with so much to see and do. The city itself is rich with highly significant historical buildings, great beaches and top restaurants.

Here at 360 Private Villas we have a great portfolio of stunning properties in and around these two cities, as well as on the Istria peninsula. Among them, here are our top four picks to get you started:

Villa Impresivan in Dubrovnik is arguably one of the very finest properties in Croatia. Opulence, luxury and grandeur are in ample supply within the 6500m² of accommodation and 8000m² of professionally landscaped grounds. The sauna and steam room allow for relaxation, and the heated private swimming pool and direct access to the beach allow for fun for all.

Villa Primorsko in Split is a great choice especially for families with children owing to its close proximity to the beach, spacious lawns and easy indoor-outdoor living. Guests will also enjoy the stunning sea views that can be enjoyed throughout the property, as well as the outdoor dining area - perfect for lazy afternoons and evening drinks.

Villa 007 on the Istria peninsula is a superb contemporary villa fit for Mr Bond himself. The spaciousness and airiness create a real sense of luxury, not to mention the excellent facilities including sauna, private swimming pool and jacuzzi. Channel your inner Bond by visiting nearby Poreč with its busy nightlife, high-end bars and top restaurants. For a quieter excursion, a two-minute stroll down to a secluded (effectively private) beach certainly fits the bill.

Villa Vinovac in the town of Seget Donj near Split is another modern masterpiece. Carefully designed and furnished to meet the highest standards of luxury and comfort, guests will particularly enjoy the irresistible infinity pool, from which views across the Adriatic Sea and neighbouring islands dominate the scenery.
